We are proud to announce that Ghana will host the 2026 CAVB Zone III Volleyball Club Championship, and Kalibi Volleyball Club has been chosen as the official host club, marking a landmark moment in Ghana’s volleyball history.

  • This is the first time ever that Ghana will host the Zone III Club Championship, putting our country on the continental volleyball map.
  • Even more momentous: Kalibi SC is the first Ghanaian club to take center stage as the host of this prestigious tournament—leading an event usually organized at national federation level.
  • The championship is expected to bring over 48 top clubs from across West Africa—teams from Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Niger, and more—under one roof in Accra, Ghana.

🏛 Leadership & Remarks

  • At the official launch, Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, framed the tournament as more than sport—it’s a “call to action” for volleyball’s renaissance in Ghana, addressing infrastructural and media visibility challenges.
  • GVF President George Tetteh expressed full confidence: with backing from stakeholders, Ghana will both host and compete fiercely.
  • Bernard Anbataayela Mornah, Chairman of Kalibi SC, appealed for greater investment in volleyball infrastructure—urging the construction of gyms and multipurpose facilities to mitigate weather-related constraints.
