KALIBI SPORTING CLUB

We are Kalibi Sporting Club, a passionate and ambitious sports institution dedicated to football and volleyball, with a strong emphasis on football. Based in Wa, Upper West Region, Ghana, we are committed to developing young talents, fostering teamwork, and competing at the highest levels of regional and national football. Our football team currently participates in the Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) Division Two League, striving to make a lasting impact on Ghana’s football scene. Our volleyball division also upholds the same values of discipline, excellence, and competitive spirit.

At Kalibi SC, we believe in nurturing raw talent and providing opportunities for young athletes to excel. Foundation and Early Years

The journey of Kalibi Sporting Club began in 2021, with a bold vision to create a professional football team that would give young talents in the Upper West Region a platform to excel.

By 2022, the club had officially entered competitive football, laying the groundwork for a team built on discipline, hard work, and strategic growth.

The Unbeaten Champions – Division Three Glory

In 2023, Kalibi SC made history by dominating the Upper West Division Three League. The team went unbeaten throughout the season, showcasing superior tactical discipline, technical brilliance, and an unbreakable team spirit. This victory was a major milestone, as it marked Kalibi SC’s first major honor, securing promotion to Division Two and cementing the club’s reputation as a rising powerhouse in Ghanaian football.

Success in Division Two – Making a Mark

Building on the momentum of our 2023 unbeaten season, Kalibi SC entered the Upper West Division Two League in 2024, competing among some of the region’s best teams. The club’s competitive spirit and structured development saw them winning their second major title—the Dr. Rev. Fr. Camilio Bonsuri Jubilee Cup in 2024. This victory further solidified Kalibi SC’s status as one of the most promising clubs in the region, setting the stage for greater success in Ghanaian football.

Breaking Barriers – The Historic Accra Training Tour

In 2024, Kalibi Sporting Club became the first-ever team from the Upper West Region to embark on a 10-day successful training tour in Ghana’s capital, Accra. This tour was a landmark achievement, providing the players with valuable exposure to top-level football training, high-intensity matches, and professional scouting opportunities. It reinforced the club’s commitment to growth, excellence, and national recognition.
