Kalibi Sporting Club is thrilled to announce that two of our rising defensive stars have received a national team call-up! Abdulai Mahama (Premier) and Salifu Abdul Rashid (Thiago) are currently in camp with Ghana’s U-20 National Team in Prampram, where they will undergo a series of assessments by the national technical team.
These talented defenders have been outstanding in the Upper West Division Two League, showcasing solid defensive capabilities, tactical discipline, and an incredible work ethic that have earned them national recognition.
Should they impress the technical handlers, they will be included in the final squad that will prepare for the 2024 Africa U-20 Youth Championship, set to take place in April.

A Club on the Rise – Kalibi SC’s Growing Reputation
This call-up is a historic moment for Kalibi Sporting Club, as we continue to develop top-tier talents who can compete on national and international stages.
🔹 Abdulai Mahama (Premier) – A commanding center-back known for his tactical intelligence, aerial dominance, and leadership at the back.
🔹 Salifu Abdul Rashid (Thiago) – A versatile defender with exceptional tackling skills, composure on the ball, and a strong ability to read the game.
Both players have been integral to Kalibi SC’s defensive setup, helping the team achieve outstanding performances in the 2023/24 Division Two League season.
The Road Ahead

As Mahama and Rashid continue their national team assessments, we remain optimistic about their chances of making the final squad. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and development structure at Kalibi SC, which continues to produce and nurture high-caliber players.
